IMPACT Courses

BDM IMPACT courses let you access the skills you need in bite-sized units with limited interruption to your work or business. Many of the courses available can be CPD or ILM accredited. Courses usually last one day or two days.

IMPACT Courses are available in the following areas:

Social Media

The Social Media Impact courses available consist of three levels; Social Media for Business, Social Media Strategy and Social Media Deployment. These courses have been CPD accredited so can count as 10 credits towards a relevant degree or industry qualification.

  • Social Media for Business This course seeks to provide an overview of the social media landscape and an introduction to the related techniques, tools, and approaches.
  • Social Media Stratergy This course seeks to equip the student with the tools and techniques to review, update and justify marketing strategies in respect of social media.
  • Social Media Deployment This course covers various concepts and principles of social media tools in business. The emphasis is on the application of theory enabling you to develop practical skills alongside the theoretical underpinning.
  • Sales

  • Basics of Sales This course highlights the effective and ineffective practices from case study organizations and gives students the opportunity to apply various marketing and promotional concepts and principles to their own organisation.
  • Sales Impact Training Professional selling goes way beyond the simplistic 'people buy from people' argument, the new breed of sales person will use their relationship building and networking skills along with consultative selling techniques and value based logic to strike a balance and develop an approach suitable for their customer.
  • Superb Telesales Sometimes considered the 'junior partner' to the field sales, telesales should be in fact an extremely important part of an organisation sales strategy and having skilled operators can have significant (and economical!) effect on the bottom line.
  • Sales Success Energiser The course provides an overview into the skills, knowledge and attributes known to make a difference and addresses the day to day behaviour that works.
  • Business Networking This course serves to introduce students to the concept of business networking by examining desirable and achievable outcomes. Many business people are reluctant to use networking for a variety of reasons ranging from beliefs about its effectiveness to fear of entering a room full of people they don't know.

  • Becoming an Effective Leader Level 5 course aimed to develop knowledge and understanding of effective leadership as required by a practising or potential mid-senior managers
  • Understanding Leadership Level 3 ILM course aimed at current or aspiring middle managers looking to develop a knowledge and understanding of different leadership styles and behaviours

  • An Introduction to Business Finance and Strategy This course seeks to introduce an effective understanding of basic business finance tools to enable the business and the business owner to understand how effective business and finance strategies and systems will support the business and its growth and development.
  • Making a Financial Case The Courses aims to develop understanding and ability to be able to make a financial case as required by a practising or potential middle manager.
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness

  • Influencing and Negotiating This course breaks down the explicit skills of being able to influence others and negotiate successfully in business.
  • NLP for Business Being able to influence suppliers, customers and colleagues in the workplace is a crucial skill in the modern market place. Doing it eloquently and with integrity is a level that charismatic leaders do with ease, and others simply struggle to achieve.
