ERIKS

The ERIKS group is comprised of 50 companies offering logistics, engineering and manufacturing with branches in 13 countries across the globe.

BDM has had a strong relationship with ERIKS for many years, and has provided training to over 70 of their managers in this time, mostly at level 3 and 5 in Management. Over the years, BDM has helped ERIKS to improve the overall quality of their management team and move the business forward through structured training.

BDM continue to have a successful relationship with Eriks and in April 2013 a presentation saw 8 managers from Eriks received their certificates for successful completion of the ILM Level 5 Management Diploma. The course took a total of 12 months to complete and included both NVQ and VRQ qualifications. BDM Director, Ian White, revealed that due to the high standards of work completed, with much of it being implemented directly into the business, many of the students have been put forward for further ILM recognition.

The group agreed that although the qualifications were challenging they were ultimately rewarding and have had an inestimable impact on the business, with many of the group indicating their keenness in moving on to the degree.

BDM would like to congratulate all of the group for their hard work in achieving their qualifications.

As it is National Apprenticeship Week BDM is Introducing our latest Sales & Marketing Apprenticeship.
What Is It?

The Sales Programme is designed to introduce young people to successful careers as sales professionals. Fully funded training delivered by BDM will introduce candidates to the basic knowledge underpinning the Sales industry including:

Understanding Sales techniques and processes

Understanding Sales targets

Understanding Business awareness in Sales

This knowledge based learning is combined with practical experience in a sales environment within a relevant business. This means that businesses can filter the very best candidates for their Sales needs before they commit to a full 12 month apprenticeship. This not only takes the risk out of Sales Apprenticeships but means that the knowledge and experience gained by the candidates can be as relevant as possible to your specific business needs.

Tasks undertaken by apprentices will vary depending on the sector in which they are employed but could include selling face-to-face or by telephone, processing sales orders, supporting customers in obtaining finance for purchases, generating and qualifying sales leads and negotiating and closing sales.

Welcome to the New BDM Site

Many of our management courses and tutors preach the mantra of continuous improvement. So at BDM, we have taken this on board as 2013 will see the introduction of a snazzy, newly designed BDM website - which, as you can see, is now live.

We have found that the old site, whilst being functional and providing all the information needed, is rather prosaic and can sometimes be difficult for visitors to navigate through as the site was not initially built with the vast array of different courses we now have. It is hoped that the redesign will enable visitors to find exactly what they are looking for with each area of study given its own area within the site. The redesign will also enable us to provide much more engaging content on the site with increased use of videos, images and interactive materials to enrich the users experience and aide providing a more sensory means of communicating the contents of each of our courses.

Flexible ILM Programmes

Flexible ILM Programmes

BDM is transforming the way we provide our ILM qualifications with the introduction of our new Flexible ILM programmes, launching in January. Over the past few months we have listened to our clients, and feel that the programme will help students and organisations meet their training needs more effectively.

The new programme is currently available for ILM Level 3 and Level 5 Qualifications in Management. The flexible programme enables delegates to simply transition between Award, Certificate and Diploma.

The new programme means a different unit will be running every month at both Level 3 and Level 5(See Course Schedule) enabling anybody to start either an Award (2 Units), Certificate (3 – 4 Units) , Diploma (7 – 9 Units) or even any individual unit each month.

This Flexible programme takes the risk out of completing one of the courses, by all means if you would like to book straight on to a diploma and benefit from our generous prices the you can, however if you are unsure and do not want to commit to the length and cost of the diploma then simply take an individual unit or Award (just two days) and pick up additional units when you like.
